George Joseph Martinez

George Joseph Martinez age 32, of San Antonio, died Wednesday, January 11, 2017. George was married to Vanessa for 16 years. He grew up as a military brat. George worked his way into Management at Jiffy Lube and was a strong dedicated worker. He loved the San Diego Chargers; and valued his family and cherished his time with them.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Teresa Figueroa; grandfather, Felipe G. Martinez; grandmother, Eufrasia Idrogo; and father-in-law, Julio P. Madero, Jr.

He is survived by his wife Vanessa Martinez; sons, Joseph, Christian and Elijah; mother, Gloria Idrogo; father, George Martinez (spouse, Shannaz); mother-in-law, Rosa Maria Madero; sisters, Jennifer Carrasco (spouse, Elias), and Beverly Suarez-Martinez; nieces, Ariana Carrasco, Destiny Martinez; nephews, Enrique Suarez and Gabriel Suarez; great-nephew, Noah Jacob Suarez; Godparents, Dolores and James Harmon; Godson, Anthony Camargo; numerous extended family from the Martinez, Idrogo and Madero families.

Visitation will be on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Porter Loring.
