George Edward Potter, Jr.

George Edward Potter, Jr., age 61, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 13, 1962 in Soap Lake, Washington to Penny J. Williams and George Edward Potter, Sr. Being a lover of nature, he became an Arborist to protect and preserve trees in the San Antonio area until he and his partner, Patrice, retired in Friendsville, TN where he continued his passion of caring for the land. He was an avid poker player, diehard Vikings fan, and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Todd Potter; and sister, Tracy Potter Moreno. George is survived by his parents; loving partner, Patrice Moroney; son, George Dalton Potter; daughter, Kayla Jade Powell; son-in-law, Blake Joseph Powell; sister, Cindy McCloud; brother, Kirk McCloud; sister, Cassie McCloud; sister, Emily McCloud; many nieces and nephews; and numerous other extended family and friends. His love of life and his joyous, humorous spirit will be cherished and missed by all.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
