George Edward Prado, age 68, born on September 10, 1957 in San Antonio, Texas, to Edward and Esperanza Prado. George passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at his home surrounded by his husband and family. He is preceded in death by his parents, niece, Jessica Yvette Robles, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Survivors include his husband, Jose Benito Castro; sisters, Leticia Prado and Patricia Prado; the Castro and Rogerio Family, Mere Prado, nephews, niece; and numerous grandnephews, grandnieces, and other loving family.
Celebration of Life Services for our beloved George will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 3:30 p.m. in the Lone Star Reception Hall at Sunset Funeral Home.
In remembrance of George and his beautiful life, George and Benny are requesting that no one wear black colored clothing. Instead, in the true spirit of a Celebration of Life, they request everyone wear nice festive colors.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MD Anderson, Saint Judes, Shriners Children’s Hospital, or Humane Society.
