George M. Roesler, Jr. born October 5, 1925, entered rest May 16, 2003. Member of Northside Church of Christ. Served U.S. Naval Air Corps as Aviation Cadet during WWII. Graduate of Trinity University, former President of Exchange Club of San Antonio and member of the Telephone Pioneers.
Retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. George is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley, and three sons, George Mark Roesler of San Antonio, William Mike Roesler of New Braunfels, and Jonathon Matt Roesler and his wife, Robin of San Antonio, along with four grandsons, Lucas Brent Roesler, Travis Miles Roesler, Jonathon Benjamin Roesler, and Douglas Clay Roesler, his brother Robert A. Roesler and wife, Carole of Ellenton, Florida along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents George and Della Mae Roesler, and an infant son and daughter. Pallbearers will be: Jim Dye, David Banton, Kenneth Winter, David Runyan, Ben Clements, and Pat Kennell. The honorary Pallbearers will be Stanley Paris, Ben Griffith, Lawrence May, James Lewis, and Dick Porter.
