George Upson Serna, Sr.

George Upson Serna, Sr. born on February 22, 1934 went to be with the Lord on June 25, 2018 at the age of 84. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gloria O. Serna; his parents, Pedro and Ruth Serna; son, Lorenzo Villanueva; his grandson, Georgie Reyes and siblings, Mike Serna, Antonio Serna and Eloy Serna. He is survived by his children, Mary Reyes, Belinda Mares, Roland Serna, George G. Serna (Dora), Gloria Serna Moreno (Mario) and Michael Serna; Grandchildren, Joey Reyes, Esela Pronk, George Serna, III, Gloria Reyes, Chloe Cox, Stephanie Serna, Alexandria Moreno, Billy Joe Reyes, Maggie Reyes, Anthony Reyes, Mario Angel Moreno, Amanda Moreno and Simone Serna; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Elodia Koch, Pete Serna, Lilly Harrison and Alice Sandoval; numerous nieces and nephews. George was retired from civil service with Kelly AFB, after his service with the U.S. Air Force. George was a wonderful husband, father and provider who was very family oriented. He lived a full, successful life. He will truly be missed by family and friends. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at Trevino funeral home on 226 Cupples Rd. with the Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church on 18555 Leal Rd. Interment to follow at San Jose Burial Park.
