She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and love of life. Dancing and playing the piano played an important part of her life. For 14 years, she taught elementary school at Ogden and Herff in the San Antonio Independent School District. After her retirement, she continued to work as a substitute teacher until she was 85 years old. The children picked up on her contagious personality.
She is survived by her three sons, Jimmy and his wife, Hilda, Nick and his wife, Nancy and Chris and his wife, Sharee; five grandchildren, Matt and his wife, Katherine, Mark, Lindsay, Cooper, and Nikos; a great grandson, Gavin, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, April 4, 2016 beginning at 6:00 p.m. with a Trisagion at 7:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary on McCullough Ave. Service will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. to St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church, 2504 N. St. Mary's Street.
Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park South.
