Georgie Brown

Georgie was a proud San Antonian and grew up in the King William Neighborhood. She attended Brackenridge HS (class of 1956). She married Art King Brown in 1958. She later worked at Kelly Air Force Base as a Funds Manager and retired in 1997. She spent her free time volunteering at San Antonio Oasis Senior Center, meeting friends at Bunco, dining with the Red Hats, traveling, playing slots at Coushatta Casino with her friends, and Mahjong, Scrabble, and Bingo Bash with her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilson and Viola Murray, and her husband, Art King Brown.

She is survived by her son and his wife, Russell and Sandra Brown; her daughter, Deanna Jansen; her brother and his wife, Dub and Sandra Murray; her sisters in-law, Sandra Jandt, Linda Straube, and Sandra Brown; grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, 3pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be on Friday, June 5, 2026, 10am at Sunset.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to San Antonio Oasis Senior Center or to your local Humane shelter.
