

During WWII she was a sheet metal worker at Kelly Field - a true "Rosie the Riveter". Mrs. Nava was a founding and lifelong member of St. James the Apostle Catholic Church. She enjoyed being the school secretary and later their parish secretary. Mrs. Nava was a Scout Leader for her sons and daughters.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Mauro L. Nava, Sr.; brother, Abelardo Gonzales and sister, Alicia Tallabas.
Mrs. Nava is survived by her children, Mauro L. Nava, Jr. and wife, Melissa, Elda Nora N. Clark, John J. Nava, Steven R. Nava and wife, Kimberly, and Bernadette Rodriguez; Grandchildren Edward Clark III (Ginger), Jessica Clark Duffy (Tony), John Joseph Nava, Jr., Joshua Andres Nava, Ashley N. Rodriguez and Cannon J. Nava; great-grandchildren, Juliann Clark, Madeline Duffy, Stephen Duffy and Ayden Clark; sister, Amparo Diaz (Jesse); brother, Gilibaldo Gonzalez, Jr. (Carla) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit Mrs. Nava on Monday, March 3, 2014 from 11:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. at Porter Loring Mortuary on McCullough.
