Gerald Dwight Trout

He was preceded in death by father, George T. Troutt Sr.; grandparents, Samuel G and Willie Mae Norris, and Samuel J. and Lockie Troutt. Survived by children: Tracy (Steve) Mays of Cambridge, England and Darren (Sherry) Trout of Dallas TX and five grandchildren: Madeline, Olivia, Elijah, Lauren and Logan; mother, Mildred N. Troutt; brothers and sisters: Jack (Charlene) Troutt, George Jr. (Kay) Troutt, Stephen (Donna) Troutt, Edna (Joe) Moreland, Bettye (David) Bean, Jayne (Gene) Walshaw and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was a proud veteran of 30 years with the USAF, where he attained the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He received numerous air medals while serving in Vietnam and Desert Storm. After retiring from the USAF, he received a Paralegal Associate Degree and also retired from the USPS. He attended Central High School where he played in the band and was in the first graduating class at Holston High School. Jerry was a member of First Baptist Church of Castroville, TX. The family offers special thanks to Jerry's close friends and neighbors who visited and cared for him, especially Cheryl and Amedisys.
