She was an alumnus of Trinity University with a BA in Accounting. After raising her family, she taught at Business schools and adult education classes, and later was co-director of a business school in Houston.
Geraldine liked gardening, loved her family, raised and educated her children, and assisted family with her own accounting business. She was wonderful, funny loved her pets and was best friend to her daughter.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Josephine and Samuel Mencio; husband, Morris Stevens, sister, Elizabeth Hooge; brother Samuel Mencio and beloved son; Alex Stevens.
She is survived by her daughter, Karol Barstow; sister, Roselle Huff; brother, Charles Mencio; dozens of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews and her furry family Quigley and Parker.
