

Born and raised in San Antonio, he lived a life filled with love, laughter, and fond memories. Jerry
worked as a truck driver for Southwest Motor Transport for 31 years where he was respected for
his hard work and dedication. He was also an avid member of the Fox Tech Ex- Students
association. He approached every task with diligence and integrity, leaving a lasting impression
on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In his free time, Jerry enjoyed swimming, barbecuing, traveling, training dogs, and finding solace
and joy in the simple moments spent with his wife, family, and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Patsy, his brother Carlos, and his sister Pauline. Jerry will be dearly missed by wife Sylvia Cantu; his brothers Steve Cardenas, George Cardenas, and Enrique Cantu; his children Efrain Cantu, Rena Morales, Barbra Carreon, Regina Cantu, Nicole Rico, Nicholas Rico Lisa Diaz, Jennevieve Cantu. He was a loving husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather/ great grandfather, and a dear friend to many and will be remembered for his warm smile, unwavering
generosity, and charismatic personality.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honor and remember Jerry Cantu at Funeraria del Angel
Trevino on November 1st, 2025 from 11AM - 4PM with a Prayer Service at 1PM. Gerardo Cantu
may have left this world but his legacy will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew him.
