Mr. Schmidt was a simple man who enjoyed time with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Lucia Schmidt; wife, Josephine Schmidt; son, Michael Schmidt; siblings, Blanca Margarita Bermejo, Ray Ramirez, Gabby Schmidt and Louie Goodman.
He is survived by his son, Michael E. Schmidt; daughters, Josie Alvarez and Juanita Schmidt; sister, Jeanette Goddard; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A gathering to honor and celebrate Mr. Schmidt will be announced in the near future.
