On March 5, 2015 our beloved Gilbert Aguilar went to be with the lord.He was born January 16, 1942 to Frank and Stella (Vega) Aguilar in San Antonio, Texas. He retired from Lackland Air force Base as a civil servant; He was a master wood crafter who also worked at the Tower of Life building where he so proudly made wood crafted furniture for the attorneys. An avid outdoors man you would find Gilbert hunting, fishing, and camping. He loved dancing with his beloved life time partner Oralia Herrera and barbequing for his children and friends. He cherished time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stella and Frank Aguilar, his brother George and ex-wife Corina Rosie Aguilar. He is survived by his partner Oralia Herrera of 33 years; daughter, Rebecca Prow; daughter, Jackie Aguilar; son, Gilbert Aguilar; son, Michael Aguilar; and daughter, Stella Diaz; sister, Eva Ossorio; and brother Mike Hernandez; 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A Visitation and Rosary will be at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel, 1701 Austin Highway on Monday, March 9, 2015, at 6pm.
