Gilbert C. Gonzales, age 77 of San Antonio, died Sunday, June 22, 2014.
Mr. Gonzales served in the U.S. Army and retired with the Army Reserves as a SSgt. He was a wonderful caring and devoted man. He took care of his ailing wife until the day she died.
Gilbert loved to play the guitar. He was preceded in death by his wife, Amelia T. Gonzales. Gilbert is survived by his son, Oscar Cantu and his wife, Janet; daughters, Leticia "Tish" Vargas and husband, Daniel, and Debra Gonzales; grandchildren, Oscar, Jr., Jay, Lisa, Richard, Vanessa, Joseph, Matthew, Tricia, Robert, Jonathan, and Tonya; and numerous great grandchildren.
