Gilbert Salas, 74, of New Braunfels, Texas passed away on September 24, 2021 with his wife of 46 years by his side. Gilbert was born in San Antonio, Texas on October 31, 1946 to Cuathemo and Mary Salas.
He is survived by his wife, Araceli Tamez-Salas (aka Sally); siblings, Lisa Salas, Tony Salas, and Bertha Ricks; numerous nieces and nephews; along with his loving furr baby, Murphy.
Gilbert worked the majority of his life as a Master Tile Setter -- working with Hicks Company and Parker Distinguished Homes.
Gilbert loved hosting family gatherings, as well as fishing, hunting, bowling, cooking and barbequing. His wife, family and friends will miss him greatly.
Funeral Service will be on October 8, 2021 at 3:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway; inurnment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with a wake to follow in the reception room.
