Gilberto Gonzalez Blanco

Gilberto Gonzalez Blanco, born on August 22, 1958 in San Antonio, TX went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents Paulo and Albina Blanco; his brother Ricardo Blanco. He is survived by his children; Gilbert Blanco Jr. (April), Roxanne Blanco and Eric Blanco; grandchildren, Jeremy, Jelena, Jerett, Jaelah and Jeric; siblings, Sofia Valdez, Pablo Blanco, Rosendo Blanco and Albert Blanco. He is survived also by numerous nieces and nephews. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and how much he enjoyed making people laugh. He was always helping others and left a lasting impression. Wherever he went, he was sure to make new friends. Gilberto was very upbeat and positive regardless of life's challenges. Always a sharp dresser, he was known to wear his signature fedora and Stacy Adams shoes. He will truly be missed. A Visitation will be on Wednesday February 1st at 5:00 pm at Trevino Funeral Home on 2525 Palo Alto Rd. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass at St. Clare's Catholic Church on Thursday February 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Interment to follow at First Memorial Cemetery.
