Gladys Mae Berry Burton

Gladys Mae (Berry) Burton passed from this life on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the age of 98 years, 11 days. She was born September 18, 1914 to Mary Neal Gentry Berry and William Marian Berry in Saline Co. Arkansas. She married Floyd Edgar Burton on September 10, 1938. She was predeceased by her husband, her parents, three brothers, Calvin, Roy, and Melvin and her sisters, Lillie Chenault and husband Duffie, Ola Craig and husband Bob, and brother-in-law Grady Burton. She is survived by her sons, Melvin Lee and wife Barbara and Marvin Floyd and wife Leona; grandchildren, Misty Morgan and husband Mark, Monty Burton and wife Stephanie, Jennie Burton, Shawn Burton and wife Barbara, Michelle Neugart and life-mate Sandra, Lee Ann Burton, Jeremy Burton and wife Christy; great grandchildren, Tyler, Grant, Jared, Bryce, Matthew, Ashley, Kylee, Kenny, Elizabeth, Stephen, and Jake; great-great grandchildren, Sebastian and Coltin, sister, Oleta Burton and many nieces and nephews. Her love of reading can be demonstrated at the Stone Oak Care Center in the donation of all her books, now in the Gladys Burton Library. In her younger years, she enjoyed fishing, loved her family and always took great pride in their accomplishments. A memorial service, conducted by James DeVoll(nephew-in-law), will be held on Wednesday October 3, 2012, at 12:00pm, at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. Interment will follow in the family plot at Sunset Memorial Park.
