

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Raymond M. Dunning Sr.; sons, Ray Dunning Jr. and wife Peggy of Tioga; Robert Dunning and wife Ruverna of Huntsville; grandchildren, Robert Dunning, Jr. of Carrollton, Michael Dunning of Pflugerville, David Dunning and wife Beth and great-grandchildren Kayla, McKenzie, and Tyler of Celina; step-grandchildren, Stephanie Nadolny of Dallas, Lindsay Harris of Chicago, Paul Nadolny and wife Kelly and step-great-grandchildren Sarah and Grace of Frisco; two brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Dunning was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, infant grandson, and sister, Jeanne Spencer, who passed away February 22, 2009.
She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1938 where she was voted "Best Drilled Lasso" and served on the yearbook committee. She and Raymond met during high school and married January 25, 1941, recently celebrating their sixty-eighth anniversary.
Gladys was an avid gardener and enjoyed collecting antiques. She mastered the art of embroidery and decorated their home with beautiful picturesque scenes, floral pictures, linens and novelty items. She delighted in sharing her lovely pieces with family and friends.
