Gloria A. Davila, age 78, of San Antonio, passed away peacefully and painlessly on Monday, November 24, 2008 in a local hospital surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted mother who dedicated herself to her husband and children. She is preceded in death by her son, Daniel Davila, Jr.; her grandson, Ricky Salinas; her father, Jesus Arias; her mother, Anita Arias; her sister, Beatrice Prados; and her brother, Jesse Arias, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Daniel Davila, Sr.; her children, Sylvia Mermea, Richard Davila, Rose Marie Salinas, Elizabeth Zerda; her grandchildren, Christopher and Stephanie, Kimberlee and Veronica, Stephen, Jeffrey and Michael; her brothers, Richard, Robert, Rudy and Roy Arias; her sister, Anna Hernandez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the doctors, nurses and hospital staff of the MICU at Methodist Hospital.
