She was born September 27, 1939, in Titusville, Pennsylvania, to Ralph and Ellen James. She joined the Air Force at the age of 19. Following her marriage, she left the military to raise her children.
After the children entered school, she worked for the New York City Police Department as a coder for 10 years. She moved first to Ft. Worth, then, found her way to San Antonio where she was employed at Ft. Sam Houston.
Gloria enjoyed crocheting, movies and was an avid CSI fan. Her passions were her yard, her home, her cats and her beloved grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Jessica Farmer and husband Lowell, and Sandra Cooper; sister, Rose Marie Scott and husband Donald D.; grandchildren, Meagan, Jessica, David and Tiffany.
