Gloria Ellen Walsh

Gloria E. Walsh, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2016 in San Antonio. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 3, 1932 to Mabel and Edward Ruelle. She was raised by her grandparents, Sarah and James Rollinson. She graduated from Mackenzie High School in Detroit, Michigan; attended junior college and became a legal secretary. She met and married her husband of 52 years, Robert F. Walsh. She lived in Detroit, Michigan, New York, Arizona, Arlington Heights, Illinois and San Antonio for the last 36 years of her life. Her love for dogs and donating her time was second to none. She absolutely loved going to estate sales, antique shows and garage sales. She belonged to the Harp and Shamrock Irish Cultural Society; the British Heritage Association, DAV-Aux, the VFW-Aux and the American Legion Aux. She is survived by her son, Joseph Walsh and Mary Meehan; granddaughter, Jessica Walsh; close family friends, Cindy and David Collins.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
