Gloria Amalia Mrs Woods

Gloria Woods, age 69, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. In 1957 at the young age of nine, Gloria and her parents and five brothers and sisters moved to San Antonio from Laredo and in 1974 she became a United States Citizen. In 1966 she met the love of her life, Roy S. Woods and eventually married him in 1971. Gloria was a great mother, sister, grandmother and friend, who loved her family and was very loyal to them. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, and drinking coffee. In 2013, Gloria rededicated her life to the Lord and was an active member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy S. Woods; parents Amalia and Juan Hernandez; and brother, Benito Hernandez. Gloria is survived by her daughter, Colleen Woods Eide (Richard) and Linda Woods Ramos (Javier); son, Michael Woods; step-children, Deborah Marmon (Ken), Garrett Schultz (Sherri), Carolyn Schultz, Robin Schultz, Raymond Schultz and Donald Schultz. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kristan Rodriguez, Roy Vaught, Jessica Vaught, Brianna Vaught, Richard Eide, Jr., Samantha Woods, Michael Woods, Jr., Sean Woods, Chloe Strader, Sayler Strader. Great Grandchildren; Jaiden Pfeil, Makela Sierra, Ava Grace Sierra, Preston Eide and Scarlet Giller; sisters, Carmen Peyer (Edward), Maria Valdez (Raymond) and Magda Valdez; and brother, Victor Hernandez (DeeDee).

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
