Gonzalo Bermea, Jr., age 76, went to be with the Lord on July 14, 2014. He was born on March 9, 1938 in San Antonio, TX to Gonzalo Sr. & Guadalupe Bermea. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary H. Bermea.
He is survived by his 6 children, Gonzalo Bermea III, Hector Bermea, Julio Bermea & wife Vonda, Monica De La Cruz & husband Carlos, Alonzo Bermea and Danny Bermea & wife Helen; 11 grandchildren, Lisa Perez, Mary Bermea, Ashley Bermea, Nicholas Bermea Joshua De La Cruz, Melina De La Cruz, Megan Bermea, Marissa Bermea, Melissa Mata and Erica Mata Pablo Mata, Jr.; 4 great grandchildren, Austin Mata, Ivan Arzate, Elijah Barajas and Jaylise Perez; numerous other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be 6 p.m., Sunday, July 20, 2014 followed by a 7 p.m. Rosary at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 21, 2014 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 102 Lorenz, San Antonio, TX 78209. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
