Grace Burke Coover passed away Monday, March 1, 2004. She was born into a pioneer South Texas family on July 6, 1908 in Beeville, Texas, the second child of John and Cora Burke. She earned a Bachelor and Masters of Arts from Texas A&I in Kingsville and taught for more than 30 years in Corpus Christi elementary schools. In 1978 she married David Coover Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband, her sisters, Allie Young and Martha Ann Burke, and her brothers, Pat Burke and John J. Burke Jr. Survived by ten nieces and nephews, Allie Lister, Jane Butler, Phillip Young Jr., John M. Young, Bridget Revell, John Burke III, Martha Ann Young, Patrick Burke Jr, Lott Burke and Melanie Ross. Her family wishes to thank the staff at Morningside Manor for their many years of care.
