

Grace M. Moody, 96, passed away peacefully in her sleep, on Wednesday, February 2, 2011.
She was born December 14, 1914 in Waupaca, Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She was married to David R. Moody with whom she shared 59 years until his death in 1999. She taught in Wisconsin and Texas.
She especially enjoyed the challenge of teaching blind children at Agnes Cotton Elementary for most of her career and later at Whittier Junior School in San Antonio. She was an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Asbury United Methodist Women, Beta Chapter, Delta Kappa Gamma, Past Matron of San Antonio Radiant Chapter No. 3, Order of the Eastern Star.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Marilyn M. Oliva and son-in-law Tony Oliva, San Antonio; son, Robert G. Moody and wife Paula, Denver, Colorado; 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great child; and nephew, Wayne Hawkins and wife Paula and family, Texarkana, Texas.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 4, 2011 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at Porter Loring.
