He was a graduate of John Marshall High School in San Antonio, TX.
Gregory served in the United Stares Marine Corps. Entered service on January 1, 1989 and served for 4 years. His rank was Cp1, E-4. During his service, Greg was Awarded Rifle Sharpshooter Badge, Good Conduct Metal 11.28.91, Kuwait Liberation Metal, Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Unit Commendation, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (w/1 Star), Southwest Service Metal (w/2-Stars), National Defense Metal.
Greg served in Desert Shield/Desert Storm Gulf War on the front lines.
He is preceded in death by his father, Daniel G. Boaz.
Gregory is survived by his mother, Rosalie (Boaz) Johnson; his Stepfather, Tom Johnson and Stepfather, Leo Martinez and his Fiancé, Nuria (Cookie) Chrisman; his son's Joshua Scotto and Ethan Boaz and Fiancé Cassidy; his brothers, Thomas W. Boaz, and Daniel S. Boaz; and his sister, Jennifer L. Wright; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 2:15 p.m., at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
