     Please accept my Sincere Condolences.
I want to apologize for not being a better friend while we were stationed together at Carswell AFB.  Greg kept me out of trouble long enough to be able to crosstrain out of the Security Police Career Field. I went to a training school in San Antonio and from there I got stationed at Offutt AFB in Nebraska (the coldest place I've ever lived).  I was stationed in Montgomery, Alabama, when I retired from the Air Force.  If not for Greg's assistance and guidance, I would never have been able to retrain into the computer career field.

My dear Charlotte and Nick:

 I was able to reconnect with Greg several years ago through email, and we had hoped to meet during our business travels...alas never to work out.  Two years ago I visited the Titan missile site in Tucson and thought of him the whole time.  I know my heart cannot be as broken as yours are.  I will think of him and you fondly until it becomes my time for my final guardmount.

I was very lucky to have Greg for a brother. We were stationed in Germany together and were able to spend time together. After Greg and family had moved back to the states, I was in uniform and visiting the OSI Detachment in Semback (sic) when the Detachment Commander introduced me to the Security Police Commander Major Kibey ( guessing on spelling).  I was introduced as Major Mike Forche, OSI Special Agent.  Major Kibey said he knew a sergeant named Forche and I replied that was probably My brother Greg.  He replied the sergeant he knew as Greg couldn’t be my brother.  I asked if the sergeant was stationed at headquarters at Ramstein and he said yes.  I replied that that was my brother Greg and he still denied that it could be my brother. I asked why and he said because the Greg Forche he knew hated officers and all OSI agents. I said that was indeed my brother but that he made one exception and it was me 
I loved going shooting with Greg and sitting with him for hours laughing about every thing we found weird with our changing world.  Charlotte and my wife Gloria would have a hard time with getting Greg and I off the phone when we would spend hours story telling and laughing on the phone  
. I was always proud of Greg, but especially during his last job where his company sent him to deal with customers with problems no one else cou;d fix. Greg was always able to make customers happy starting off with a smile and the statement what is it going to take to make you happy. He then made “it” happen. 
Greg was extremely smart and funny. I know he has helped many people both during his military career and his civilian life.  He was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. 

A clever cohort. Always a deep thinker often playful and snarky. I am a better man having worked alongside Greg (“Cooter”). R.I.P.

An outstanding Senior NCO, mentor and friend.  The best Security Specialists trained under his leadership.  Rest in Peace Greg.

I was blessed enough to work with and be friends with Greg. He was  a proud man with witty humor, lots of wisdom and a heart that knew no boundaries.  His love for Charlotte was immense and it was wonderful to hear him speak of her with such love and admiration in his heart.  I am saddened to hear the news but comforted that he is resting high on that mountain.  May God keep and bless his family as they navigate the path ahead.  

My heart goes out to Greg’s family. Greg was a very dear man and great neighbor while we lived in Germany. He will be missed by many of us that were fortunate enough to have had their paths crossed with his.  Charlotte & Nick, may the many years of happy memories fill your heart in this time. 

Served with Greg in the 90's in San Antonio.  He took care of us, demonstrated how to take care of others.  Many fond memories over the years and that one, final group pic we'll cherish forever.  Hole in hearts here is filled in Heaven.

I’m first met Greg in Germany during the 1980’s where we were both were part of the USAF Security Forces and where our families lived in base housing near each. We continued this friendship, along with Charlotte and Nick, when we both were later assigned to Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX. Greg was a constant mentor in my Air Force career and after my time in service when we remained good friends. I’ll miss his intellect, quick witted humor, his love of Texas and that sheepish smile. 

Gone to soon. Fair winds and calm seas, my friend.
