Gregory "Greg" Elrod Gordon

Greg was the love of my life and a sign of genuine kindness, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he met. Greg was an Eagle Scout, a die-hard Texas Longhorn, and a forever San Antonio Spurs fan. He was a Texas Fiji (he absolutely loved those guys) and made so many genuine friends it’s unbelievable and a true testament to who he was. His friends growing up at Alamo Heights shaped so much of who he was and little pieces of him are within all of them. His mom, dad, brother, and sister truly gave him a fighting heart and the kind soul we all loved.

His love for animals, especially Labs, was a testament to his gentle and caring nature. Greg's enthusiasm for hunting and football and his sheer talent in pretty much everything he did showcased his energy for life and the outdoors. Greg’s compassion and belief in treating everyone as equal was ever apparent with his sincere love for his kids and respect for people of all abilities. Greg was an authentic Christian, and his faith was something he talked about a lot. He was a huge patriot and loved Texas, America, and his family and friends.

Greg's physical journey here on Earth may be over, but he’s still here looking down from Heaven, smiling and laughing, as we’re rounding up, remembering, and rallying behind him.

Greg, you will live in our memories always and forever.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Greg's life will be held on January 25, 2024 at St. Andrew’s Church and School at 11:00 am, 722 Robinhood Place, San Antonio, TX 78209. For those unable to attend, you are welcome to view Greg's service here.

Greg is survived by his wife, Amanda Gordon; dear daughters, Annabelle and Olivia Gordon; loving parents, Pat and Bill Gordon; his awesome siblings, Lauren and Jeff Gordon; and a large circle of extended family members and friends who felt his love and kindness.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to:
