

Gregory DuBois Muise, age 60, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on January 3, 1964 at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland to Lois O’Rourke Muise and Fredric DuBois Muise.
Greg graduated from James Madison High School in San Antonio, TX and received an Associate of Applied Science in Aviation Technology from the Hallmark Institute of Technology. He was a highly skilled auto body technician and had a passion for music and nature. He played guitar and cello, enjoyed building custom guitars and intricate aeronautic models and most notably, was an avid collector of rare butterflies and moths. Greg was credited by the National Lepidopterists’ Society as having collected the first recorded Erinnyis yucatana (Druce, Sphinx Moth) in the United States, which he discovered during a visit to Concan, TX, in 2002. He loved spending time in the Texas Hill Country and capturing its natural beauty through photography.
Greg was preceded in death by Fredric Muise. He is survived by his mother Lois Muise; brother Christopher Muise; sister Jennifer Muise-Hill; nieces Elizabeth Allison and Melissa Muise; and nephew Logan Hill.
