

She was Unit President of Woodrow Wilson Unit 399, American Legion, San Antonio, Texas and VFW Post 918 lifetime member. Lupe's life was a reflection of her service to others as shown by her volunteerism at these posts. She and her husband were very active in volunteer events. She enjoyed being a mother and supported her children throughout their childhood in various activities. Lupe was smart, strong, loving, lighting up a room with her great personality and smile. Lupe was a great cook and loved to bake. She was an avid fan of the Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys.
She was preceded in death by, her husband, Felipe Gonzales, Sr., her first husband, Alfonso Davis Casanova; son, Manuel Casanova, sister, Estella Mora. Guadalupe is survived by daughter, Rita Casanova, Mack Nunn; son, Jacob Casanova, Coralia, stepson, Felipe Gonzales Jr, Nora; sister, Irene Cardenas; grandchildren: Stephen Casanova, Anna; Jennifer Casanova; Cynthia Bumba, Jonathan; Mark Carvajal, Rosanna; Jacob Casanova, Marcela; Lorraine Gonzales, Mark Gonzales, and Valerie Freeman. Estee, Ty Wiltz; numerous great children, nieces, nephews and other relatives.Thank you to all her caregivers: Gloria, Yani Hernandez, Minerva & akas The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Porter Loring Mortuary.
