Guadalupe Bustos Mendoza, age 82, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025. She was born on December 3, 1943, in Sanderson, Texas, and lived a life defined by deep faith, unconditional love, and joyful devotion to her family.
Guadalupe was the heart of her family. She helped raise her grandchildren with selfless love, always offering a comforting embrace, a warm meal, or a quiet prayer. She also devoted many years to public service and community involvement, including leading youth programs and always finding ways to support others. She cherished music and dancing, and her joy was contagious. Whether humming along to her favorite songs or welcoming someone into her home, she brought light and laughter wherever she went.
She is survived by her loving husband, Arthur Mendoza, and her two daughters, Theresa Mendoza and Saundra Mendoza, who carry forward her strength, compassion, and love. Her legacy also lives on in the lives of her grandchildren—Christopher Torres, Victoria Torres, Alex Torres, Jacob Mendoza, and Caleb Garcia—and her great-grandchildren, Evan Nieto, and Logan and Lennox Torres, who will forever cherish the memories and lessons she gifted them.
She shared a deep and special bond with her sisters, whom she loved dearly. She is survived by her beloved sisters Frances Bustos, Augustina Reynolds, and Prajediz Bustos, and is reunited in heaven with her sisters Elida Hernandez and Juanita Bustos, and her parents, Guadalupe, and Elijio Bustos, whom she missed profoundly.
Guadalupe’s strength, kindness, and joy will live on in every life she touched. Her love was a quiet force, her laughter a healing sound, and her faith a light that guided her family through generations.
