Guadalupe Rodriguez, lovingly known as Lupe or Lupita to her friends and family, was born in Cloete, Coahuila, Mexico to Isabell De La Garza and Felipe Garcia. She later made her home in the United States, where she built a life centered on family, faith, and compassion.
Lupe married and raised three children, devoting herself wholeheartedly to her family. She had a deep love for cooking and sewing, often creating beautiful matching outfits for her daughters when they were young. She also had a remarkable green thumb, able to revive even the most struggling plants and nurture them back to life.
She spent her working years at Oshman’s Sporting Goods, where she skillfully embroidered letterman jackets and sweaters for local high schools, leaving a lasting impression on her community through her craftsmanship.
In retirement, Lupe embraced life with energy and curiosity. She traveled extensively across the United States and abroad, always eager for new experiences. She especially cherished her summer trips to Louisiana, where she brought her grandchildren to visit family and create lasting memories.
Known for her generous and caring spirit, Lupe was always on the go and never hesitated to help anyone in need. In her later years at St. Francis Nursing Home, she enjoyed playing Bingo and dominoes, painting, watching movies, and participating in activities that brought her joy and companionship.
Lupe is survived by her loving children: her son, Philipe de Jesus Rodriguez; her daughters, Catalina Rodriguez and Juanita Rodriguez; her four grandchildren, Jesse James Rodriguez (spouse Laura), Jessica Jill Aquais (spouse David), Jennifer Villa (spouse Jason), and Robert Villa (spouse Robyn); and her two great-grandchildren, Brooks and Waylon. She is also survived by one sister, one brother, and countless nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and one sister.
