Guadalupe "Wally" Vela Vega

Mr. Guadalupe Vela Vega, "Wally", born on November 25, 1948 in Corpus Christi,TX entered into rest on July 19, 2025 at the age of 76. He served in The United States Army during the Vietnam Campaign. After he served his country, he worked for Civil Service for many years. He was a devoted father and a friend to all. He enjoyed cooking, playing cards and was an avid pool player. He loved Conjunto music and dancing.

Mr. Vega is preceded in death by his mother, Antonia Vela. He is survived by his daughters, Roxanne Centeno and Jessica Cobb; grandchildren, Mikayla Alexa,Wally Lee Cobb and Sofia Marie Centeno.

The Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2025 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Procession will depart from the funeral home on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of The Resurrection at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1321 El Paso St., San Antonio,TX 78207. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd., San Antonio,TX 78237 with a reception to follow.
