Guadalupe “Lupe” S. Villarreal closed his eyes for the last time on earth November 11, 2014 to open them in the presence of the Lord. His belief was “Life is not a gift it’s a surprise, and death is never a surprise, but it’s often a gift.” He grew up in Pearsall, TX and lived in San Antonio, TX. He dedicated 49 years of his life caring for others while employed at Baptist Hospital. The world lost a wise, talented, caring man. He will be missed by all, mostly by the ones he left behind: his loving wife of 48 years, his son Eli and daughter in law Javie, his grandsons Elijah and Evan, his daughter and son in law, his brother Simon and his wife Mary, and countless nephews, nieces, and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd. from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with prayer service to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with interment to follow at San Jose Burial Park.
