Gunda Kerford, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas. Born in Munich, Germany on July 11, 1936 to Ernst and Heilwig Schulte Strathaus, she moved to Texas in 1969 when she married Francis John Kerford who preceded her in death. Gunda is survived by her daughters, Christina Welch and Barbara Kerford; son-in-law, Glenn Welch; grandsons, George and Henry; brother Rainer Schulte Strathaus; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.

Interment will follow at 11:30 a.m. in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetry, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd.
