

Gustavo D Garcia Jr passed away at the young age of 61 in San Antonio, Texas on September 25th, 2021, surrounded by the ones he loved most. He was born on August 14th, 1960, in French Camp, California. At a very young age he was independent and always willing to help others being the eldest of 8 siblings. Gus grew up in Soledad, California where he began his love for art and fishing. He was a lifetime businessman, who built several successful businesses on his own from the ground up. He dedicated his life to building a family and ensuring for their well-being.
Gus has always had a love for sports from his wrestling days at Gonzales High School, to watching his daughters excel in all their sports and activities. He always said one of his biggest successes in life was being a girl dad. He was known around San Antonio as an avid soccer dad, always involved in the varies clubs in town. Whether it was coaching, photographing, or just being a fan, he could always be found at a soccer field for many years. Gus was a San Francisco 49er fanatic and wore red and gold always with pride.
He was such a family man and enjoyed spending time with his wife, daughters, and granddaughter. He expressed his love for food and music every time he would cook playing his favorite country playlist or shouting his grito’s for everyone to hear. Gus was an avid hunter/fisherman who would live on his boat in the waters if his wife allowed.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Norma Delgado. He is survived by his wife Christine T Garcia; his daughters Candice (Gerardo Saenz), Kristan (Rafael Sanchez) and Cassie; 1 grandchild Eli Ariana Sanchez; brothers, Carlos Garcia, Augustine “Augie” Garcia, Federico “Fred” Garcia, Ricardo “Bubba” Garcia, Marcos “Markie” Garcia, Mario Madrigal; sister, Delia Ramirez; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and many family friends.
Dad is now fishing in heaven RIPPING some LIPS.
