Gwen Blakeslee

Gwen Blakeslee, age 78, went to be with her Savior and Lord on January 29, 2014. She was born on April 16, 1935 in Youngstown, Ohio to Harold & Harriett Walls. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Blakeslee; daughter, Lee Ann Blakeslee; and brother, Tom Walls.

She is survived by her son, Dean Blakeslee and his wife Stephanie, and grandchildren Leanna and Nathan as well as her daughter Kelly Holbert and her husband Craig and grandchildren Dianna, Brooklyn and Emily.

The Memorial Service will take place at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Community Bible Church, 2477 N. Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, TX 78232. A private burial will take place at a later date at Sunset Memorial Park. Condolences may be offered at www.sunsetfuneralhomesa.com.

Gwen was passionate about taking care of others (especially children) and singing in the choir at her church.
