Gwendoline Mary Benson was born in Dublin, Ireland on October 19, 1945 and died Sunday, June 21, 2009 in San Antonio, Texas. She was the only child of Thomas Rodway, of England, and Mary Ryan, of Ireland. Gwen came to America in 1965 and became a citizen in 1970. She leaves behind her husband of 37 years, Paul David Benson of San Antonio, Texas; and her cherished children, Aaron Michael Benson, of San Antonio, Texas, and Alice Marie Benson-Furth with her husband, Benjamin Jedediah Furth, of Portland, Oregon; as well as numerous family and friends. No words in this column can express how much she will be missed. May God in His infinite compassion find a place in His Kingdom for this most precious woman.
