Gwendolyn Ann Daily "Gwen" Strader - born in San Antonio, TX October 17, 1941, was predeceased in death by her parents, Joe and Theo Daily of San Antonio, TX; and husband, Judd Strader. She is survived by her children, Wendy Ann Strader Connally and Juddi Jo Strader, and many extended-family members and friends.
Gwen lived most of her life in San Antonio, graduating from Incarnate Word High School in 1959. During her high school days, she was a member and officer of the State Association of Texas Pioneers and took part in multiple Battle of Flowers Parades. Gwen's mom spent many long hours making ball gowns, ornate trains, paper flowers and decorations to help achieve floats of renown reputation. Gwen attended Southwest Texas State University, San Marcos, TX, where she was a member of Delta Sigma Delta Sorority and graduated in 1963 with a BA degree in Business Administration. Gwen worked in the banking industry most of her life, seldom taking the path of least resistance.
She was a very customer-oriented person, taking special interest in everyone with whom she dealt.
A Memorial Rosary will take place on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North, located at 2102 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, TX 78232.
Inurnment will immediately follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, located at 17501 Nacogdoches Rd, San Antonio, TX 78266.
