Hannah. 
I didn't know you long- I only worked with you at the movie theater for about five months, but you were one of the only people I actually liked. We went out a few times, and I remember feeling so special when you finally had me meet your little sister- she was so important to you. I remebmer looking at your relationship with her with such envy; my sister and I are much farther apart in age, and I hope someday we can be as close as the two of you. 
Though we did not know one another long, I can honestly say that you have had the most impact on the way I view the world- I have never seen anyone live with such independence, who truly did what she wanted to do when she wanted to. 
I regret that I did not take the time to get to know you better while I had the opportunity, but I have been trying to reach out to your sister- that's a bit of a struggle, and I know she feels that I'm using her to replace you, and maybe, partly, I am, but more than that, I want to be able to be there for her the way you would have been, should she ever need that. I don't see us becoming that close any time soon, but I believe thoughts and intentions mean more than others. 
In any case, I still think about you all the time- you were such an amazing person, particularly in the way you expressed yourself. I will never forget you. 
As your mother told me at your memorial service, I will carry you in my heart, everywhere I go. 
I've never had much belief in the afterlife, but thinking of you makes me deeply question the beliefs I have always taken for fact. 
You mean more to me than you ever knew.

I just heard the news yesterday from Aunt Helga and I just wanted to say how truly sorry I am. I know it has been a long time since I have seen the family but from the first minute I met the girls we had a connection. My thought and prayers are with you. All my love.
