

Hannah Mary Putsche danced gracefully into the arms of her Lord on Saturday, February 7th, 2015 while resting in her home in San Antonio. She was a respectful and obedient daughter, faithful wife, cherished sister, beloved mother, doting grandmother, caring aunt, loving mother-in-law, and trusted friend.
Born in Galveston, Texas on June 1st, 1943 along with her twin brother, George D. Flood, III, she grew up in Bandera and Sinton, Texas before the family settled in San Antonio. She is preceded in death by her parents, George D. Flood, Jr. (USMC, ret.) and Virginia A. Flood, as well as twin brother George D. Flood, III (USMC, ret.) and husband Philip Putsche.
She is survived by her sister, Virginia Sue Smith and husband James (USN, ret.); son Curt and wife Robin (grandchildren Ayden and Carsyn) of Celina; son Brian and wife Catherine (granddaughters Alison and Madeline); nephew Jeff Smith (USN, ret., sons Cody, Jake) of Washington, D.C.; nephew Wade Smith and wife Angela (son Colton) of Round Rock; niece Dr. Jennifer Flood Eastin and husband David (children Grant and Clare) of Frisco; sister-in-law Sharon Sheets and husband Lloyd of Frisco; sister-in-law Marilyn McMillan of Boerne; nephew Vance Fairchild and wife Elise (son Austin) of Angleton; nephew Garret Fairchild and wife Diana (son Blake) of Tomball.
A 1961 graduate of MacArthur High School, Hannah received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Southwest Texas State in 1965 and impacted the lives of countless NEISD students for over 35 years. She obtained a Master's Degree in Education from Trinity University in 1980 - on a teacher's salary - while simultaneously raising two boys.
After retirement, she remarried the love of her life, Philip Putsche, in 2008 and they spent the remainder of their years together entertaining grandchildren, family and friends at their "Hut" in Ingleside, Texas.
She was a faithful, long-time member of First Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas.
The family will receive friends during a Visitation on Monday, February 16th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at First Baptist Church San Antonio located at 515 McCullough Avenue, San Antonio, TX 78215.
Funeral Services will be held at First Baptist Church at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 17th, 2015. Pastor Richard Grant, who remarried Hannah and Philip, will officiate.
A graveside service will be held immediately following the service at Sunset Memorial Park, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church San Antonio TV Ministry or to a charity of your choice.
The family also wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Ms. Janet Wagner, who unselfishly and lovingly cared for Hannah daily since becoming homebound in early July 2014 - her kindness can never be repaid.
