Harold Burris

Harold Burris passed away peacefully from his life on December 6, 2016 at the age of 81. He is preceded in Death by his son Noel Brent Burris, parents JD and Ruby Burris, Brother Elvin Burris and Sister Leona Thumann. He survived by his wife of 57 years Welta Burris, daughter Cydne and Michael Tweddle, grandchildren Jacob and Abagail, Brothers Joe, Troy, Dennis, Ron, Jacob, Sister Gail Campbell and by other loving family members and friends.

Harold was a Business Marketing Teacher at Roosevelt High School for 24 years and taught at San Antonio College. He was mayor of Hollywood Park he served two terms and he very proud to serve his community. Harold’s main passion was being a pilot for serval years but also enjoyed working with his hands, traveling and fishing. Whenever something broke in the house he could be counted on to fix it.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 6pm-8pm at Sunset Funeral Home. A Chapel Service will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 9am at the funeral home with internment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
