A longtime resident of San Antonio, TX, and a member of Baptist Temple, she moved to Dallas, TX, six years ago after suffering a heart attack.
Until recent health issues, she lived a full and happy life enjoying her family, church and pets. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe W. Cowart; son, Larry J. Cowart; grandson, Bobby J. Wood; and five brothers, Ralph, Carl, Paul, Gail and Edward Somers. Survived by daughter, Betty Cowart Wood, Euless, TX; grandsons, Mike Wood and wife, Mary, Mark Wood and wife, Christy, Greg Cowart and wife, Jachlene, Gary Goodwin and wife, Terry; daughter-in-law, Mary Cowart; six great grandsons and four great granddaughters.
