Harry C. Hinton "Gecko" began his amazing life on September 15, 1951. The ride came to an end on May 6, 2014. He was bright, bold, and loved beyond words. He fought an unimaginably difficult battle for survival. Although his spirit was strong, his body just couldn't endure any more. Even at the very end, he heard laughter and joy while the girls reminisced about their childhoods, telling jokes and teasing each other. He was relaxed and joyful in his final moments on this earth. He passed away peacefully with his wife and three daughters all surrounding him.
He will forever be remembered by his wife of thirty two (and a half) years, three daughters, nine grandchildren, a brother, sister, extended family and countless friends. He proudly served 21 years in the US Air Force and loved hopping on his bike with "Red" on the back, riding alongside the best of friends down beautiful winding roads!
Our family has a special request...it is very important that we all come together to celebrate the beautiful life Harry lived. In honor of that, we ask that people wear beautiful colors instead of anything dark and dreary. No black, brown, navy, etc. We want to look out at our wonderful friends and family and have it be like a field of spring flowers...full of life.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations the following:
-St. Jude's children's hospital
-American Cancer Society
-Or directly to Janet Hinton
