Harry James O’Brien, “OBie”, age 73, passed away July 28, 2011. He was born on July 30, 1937 in Philadelphia, PA. to Francis and Lillian O’Brien. Harry retired from the U.S. Air Force after many years of dedicated service. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn F. O’Brien; sons, Michael O’Brien and wife Kay, Jerry O’Brien; daughter, Patricia Beeler and husband Randy; grandchildren, Allison O’Brien, Matthew O’Brien, Logan O’Brien, Garrett O’Brien, Brian Beeler and wife Michelle, Brad Beeler; sisters, Lillian Smyrl and husband Ed; Joan Ferry; sister-in-law, Jane O’Brien; numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road with Rev. Tom Burns officiating and Air Force Military Honors rendered. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons, Matthew, Logan and Garrett O’Brien, Brian and Bradley Beeler, and longtime friend David Oxford.
