Hattie Marie Hanson

Hattie Marie Hanson was born October 17, 1936 in Swinney Switch to Otis O’Brien and Elizabeth O’Brien, and passed away on May 20, 2018 in Corpus Christi, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

She lived the majority of her life in South Texas, and met and later married the love of her life, J.T., on April 2, 1965. Shortly after they married, he took an overseas work assignment, and she dutifully followed him to South America and Southeast Asia. They spent the next decade working overseas, before coming back and settling in South Texas.

She is survived by her daughter, Beverly, and daughter in law, Anne; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 loving sisters, Francis and Margaret, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hanson was preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents, four brothers, a sister, 2 daughters and a son. A Funeral Service will be held at Sunset Funeral Home on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Entombment to follow at a later date.
