I still find myself thinking back on the memories I shared with Heath. We were just kids then, running around with airsoft guns and feeling like warriors, but even in those moments, he carried a sense of fairness. When things went wrong, he never acted unjustly—he’d step back, analyze the situation, and decide if he was in the wrong before moving forward.

He was also the one who first introduced me to Terraria. At the time, I brushed it off as just a simple 2D sidescroller, but I’ve come to realize how meaningful it really was. In the short time we had together, Heath taught me lessons that I still carry today. He showed me how to value people, and that lesson has shaped much of who I am. I’ve played over 500 hours of Terraria since then, and every time I log in, it feels like a small way of keeping him close. It’s been over a decade, but I still miss you, brother—and I hope you’re doing well.

You're son brought ms a lot of comfort back in high school. I'm sorry it's taken me so long to reach out and im not even sure if this message will reach you.... my years at smithson valley were very dark and lonely but your son made me feel seen and heard in a time that nobody else did. He was very kind to me, more so than he needed to be.. I think about him often.. your son was amazing and I wanted you to know that he made a difference in my life. Heath was a really good kid. I didn't know him for very long but what I did realize was that he always had a smile on his face. I and the rest of the Clear Falls Band am very sorry for the loss of your son, friend, and family member. Heath will always be remembered at Clear Falls High School and the impact he made on several of the kids attending.

Heath was a highly valued and respected team member at Taco Cabana for the past year. He was well loved and respected by everyone he came in contact with.  We will miss him dearly. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this time.  We will always cherish the time we had with Heath!

 I am in charge of uniforms for the Clear Falls High School Band.  I met Heath 2 weeks ago and he made an impact on me. When Heath came to get measured for a uniform, he was such a polite and nice young man.  We had a great conversation about his experience in bands in San Antonio and now in League City.  I checked on him a few more times throughout the week.  He always had a smile and was very polite.  I'm so sorry for your loss.  Please know you raised a wonderful son who will be missed by his new friends in the CFHS band.

Heath will always be remembered,  he was a polite awesome young person. We offer our thoughts & prayers. God bless Heath & all of the Heyne family.
