Hector E Garcia

December 18, 1957 – January 3, 2024
Obituary of Hector E Garcia
IN THE CARE OF

Funeraria del Angel Trevino

Hector E Garcia, born December 18, 1957 in Brownfield, Texas went to be with our Lord and Savior on January 3, 2024 at the very young age of 66.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Frederico and Amalia Garcia and Cornelio & Gabriela Serenil.

Although born in Brownsfield he was raised in San Antonio by parents, Ysrael and Sara Garcia. He was the eldest of three and became the cherished big brother to his siblings, Norma Carreon (Benny) and David Garcia (Vickie). He was a proud father to Ashley and Aaron (Alexis) and became even prouder to hold the title of grandpa by his grandchildren, Tyler Alexander and Avery Rose. His favorite moments and greatest passion was spending time and seeing his grandchildren grow up. He was also referred to as the "Fun" Uncle by his numerous nieces, nephews and their families, who all adored him. He met and later married the love of his life, Thelma Garcia and welcomed her children, Debbie, Mari (Rich) and A.B. He looked forward to his Sunday visits, spending time with his family and mans best friend, the grandpuppy, Honey.

Family was everything to Hector and he was everything to our family.

Hector enjoyed to BBQ at parties and was always ready and willing to go camping, fishing, or lounging on the beach. He enjoyed dressing well and washing his truck at least twice a week. He was a True Blue Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed watching the San Antonio Spurs.

Hector will be remembered as a loving son, father, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and an overall great human with a very big heart who was loved by many. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Our family would like to thank the staff and residents at the Army Residence Community for all their love and support that has been shown to Hector and Thelma throughout the years and during this very difficult time. We will forever be grateful.

A visitation for Hector will be held Friday, January 12, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Chapel service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Trevino Funeral Home, with interment to follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
