Or even just to sit there with you like I used to trying to figure out what the Spanish station was saying but more important then that I got to spend time with you. Mi Papito Hermoso,
     Hoy se cumple un mes del dia mas dificil de mi vida - y no puedo o no quiero aceptar que usted ya no esta con nosotros. Todavia espero entrar ala casa y verlo sentado en su sillon o fijarme a su cuarto y verlo acostadito en su cama. Como quisiera oir sus pasitos y el ruido de su bordon en el pasillo.
     Nada es igual sin usted Papa - pero esto si le digo - Usted sigue siendo la cabeza de nuestra familia. Antes era - si Papi quiere y ahora es como le ubiera gustado a Papa.
     Tengo una vida llena de recuerdos bonitos Papi, desde cuando estava chiquita que usted hacia de almorzar los Domingos y me ponia a tostar el pan, hasta cuando era muchacha que me areglava para salir y le preguntaba "Como me miro Daddy?" siempre me decia "bien bien hijita" y hasta ase unos meses que le decia "Papi peleme los ojos" y usted abria sus hermosos ojitos azules bien grandes.
     Papito lo extraño mucho - intento grabar cada momento, cada recuerdo, cada historia que usted nos conto - para nunca olvidar- porque si se me olvida Papito - a quien le voy a preguntar?
     En sus ultimos dias cuando le agarava la mano y me la apretava, yo siempre decia que era para que se calmara y supiera que estavamos con usted. Pero la verdad Papa, es que tenerlo agarado de la mano - eso me dava calma a mi- con cada apreton sabia que todavia estava con nosotros.
     Ahora Papi, lo que me da calma es pensar que usted solo se nos adelanto en el camino a un viaje que todos vamos a tomar. Que tuvo que ir a cuidarme a mi Spiggy, pero que nos estan esperando en un lugar hermoso para volver a estar todos juntos otra vez.
     Yo se que algun dia me va estar esperando para saludarlo con ese mismo "Como esta, Como esta, Como esta Pa?" de siempre, y oirlo responder "Bien bien bien bien bien" 
     Lo quiero mucho Papi y yo se que usted tambien me quiere mucho a mi!

Quivole Papi aqui estoy otra vez platicando con usted y acordandome de nuestras aventuras y tiempos juntos, que son unos de mis mejores recuerdos de mi vida. Yo y usted pasamos unos tiempos que son como oro para mi. Que nunca se borraran. Yo se que tal vez no fui el hijo de sus sueños y que aveses era cabesudo pero siempre me acordava de sus consejos despues de mis males. Ya pa que, verdad? Me acuerdo que desde chiquito siempre a su lado en la troca, despierto o dormido, y de mediano igual. Ya despues de grande pasamos unos tiempos que nomas usted y yo sabemos, y asi se van a quedar entre nosotros, como usted me dijo. Usted siempre fue un gran hombre, padre, y mi amigo. Lo extraño mucho papi, que me parte el alma y muchas veses me aguanto porque los hombres no lloran, como usted me decia de chico y me aguanto como los meros machos, pero a solas lloro como un niño. El niño que usted siempre amo con todo su corazon, nunca me dijo, pero siempre supe. Puedo escribir munchas muanchas cosas y recuerdos pero nomas le quiero decir, Gracias por ser el major padre que podria haber y por siempre estar conmigo, a mi lado. lo quiero mucho mi viejon de oro. Ay nos vemos en las otras piscas.

Papi papasito lindo, gracias por todo, por ser un padre maravioso que cuando lloraba usted me abrasava, cuando no pude andar, usted me cargo. Siempre que lo nesesite, usted estuvo ahi. Recuerdos hermosos cuando tocava el bajo y yo cantaba con usted. El recuerdo de Los Pericos, algo que nunca olvidare, un lugar que para mi siempre que lo recuerdo es tan hermoso. Aveses no puedo aceptar que ya no este con nosotros, el dolor es imenso. Aveses lloro sin poder controlarme. Papi como lo extraño, pero le doy gracias a Dios por los 46 años que estuvo conmigo. No se precupe por Mami, yo y mis hermanos la vamos a cuidar. Y yo como mis hermanos nunca lo vamos a olvidar. El dolor de su partida siempre estara presente, pero el saber que algun dia todos estaremos juntos otra vez me consuela. Lo quiero mucho papi, "yo tambien hijita" esta gravado siempre en mi mente.

Hey Dad,
It's been awhile since you've passed on and it feels like just yesterday that I heard your voice and gave you a hug. It hurts me to know that I will never get that feeling again. I hurt and feel pain that I have never felt before, but I guess that's what you feel when you lose someone so close. I was driving home last night and couldn't help it, I broke down and started crying, knowing that you were not going to be there, sitting in your chair, to point your cane at me and tell me "Manos Pa'rriba" when I walked in. I just want to tell you that you have been the best father and friend to me. I know you're in a better place now, with your mom brothers and sisters. That's what makes me feel a little better. I remember last year when you got sick and we had to take you to the hospital, you told me the words that I will never forget, " Me cuidas a tu Mama" and I promise Dad I will. A great father like you will always be loved and missed. I will never forget you. Y ay nos vemos alrato daddy. Te quiero mucho.

Mi amor ase casi un mes que te fuiste de mi lado, te llevaste contigo la mitad de mi vida, te extraño tanto. Cuantas veses le pedi a Diosito que te dejara conmigo, aunque estubieras acostadito en tu cama, pero podria verte y tocarte. Ahora cuando entro a nuestro cuarto y miro todas tus cosas siento un vasio en el alma. Extraño que te sientes conmigo a ver las novelas en la sala, extraño que me digas te quiero, no, no te quiero te amo. Te nos fuiste y se que no puedo verte, pero en mi corazon viviras por siempre. Me dejaste 4 hijos a los que adoro, y muchos bonitos recuerdos. Fuiste un padre especial y tus hijos te adoran, y yo que te puedo decir, solo que un dia estaremos juntos otra vez. Te Amo.

Mary..maryela..hector..Jessica and Marco..I'm so sorry for your loss..your dad will greatly be missed! Thank you for sharing him with me and allowing me to be part of your family. May he rest in peace..heaven has gained another Angel. Love y'all

Nothing is more painful in life as the separation of a jewel. Time passes, but the pain in our hearts and tears in our eyes remain the same as 21 years ago, when our beloved father/grandfather passed away. Nobody can understand how hard a separation is, than when one of our prized jewels leaves us. You search for it and it can't be found, you ask for him and he does not hear you, you wait and he is not coming. It remains only an eternal memory in our hearts.
Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the passing of my beloved brother-in-law/husband/father. Words cannot begin to express the sadness you'll are feeling right now, but we are here for you'll and we are praying for you'll to get through this. It was an honor to have known such a great person like my brother-in-law (Hector V. Garza). I was blessed to have you in my life. I have very good memories of him that I will cherish forever in my heart. I also know that all those memories from back then when we would go to Rancho Nuevo were always  with him in his memory. I will truly miss him. May God embrace you my beloved sister (Mary Elda Garza) and my beloved nieces Maryela & Jessica and nephews Hector M. Garza  & Marco Garza in comfort during this difficult time.
