Born in Saginaw, Michigan, and raised in San Antonio, Hector dedicated over 40 years to helping others as a therapeutic massage specialist, relieving pain and restoring balance to the body, mind, and spirit. Known for his generous heart, sharp intuition, and gift for making people laugh, Hector touched countless lives. He believed deeply in the body’s power to heal itself and spent his life guiding others toward wellness and release.
In his free time, Hector enjoyed playing guitar, spending time in nature, fishing, swimming, and was always interested in the latest technological gadget.
Even in his final days, his greatest concern was that he could no longer work to help his patients — a reflection of his lifelong commitment to healing and service.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Gomez; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Janet Gomez; his daughters, Josette Carson (Glenn), Yolanda Alonso (Juan), Angela Rubio (Vincent), and Madelyn Martinez (Michael); his sons, Hector V. Gomez and Adam Gomez (Samantha); and his stepchildren, Connor and Siobhan O’Reilly. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 3 nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at Porter Loring North 2102 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, TX 78232 on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m.
Hector will be remembered with love for his healing spirit, boundless generosity, and the joy he brought to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
